- A typical private school education costs an average of $11,000, less than half!
- The Pennsylvania Constitution mandates “thorough and efficient” public education.
- Pennsylvania schools are neither.
It gets worse...
- The state and federal government together provide on average only $11,000 per student, not $24,000.
- The difference is funded by property taxes.
- With property taxes, seniors risk being foreclosed out of their homes.
- First-time buyers struggle to afford a home at all.
- And every homeowner faces an eternal mortgage they can never pay off.
And even worse...
- Three years ago, the courts ruled the public schools are unconstitutional.
- The seven court-ordered remedies stand unresolved.
- The Legislature has barely budged.
- That means three more years of graduates who can’t read or do math.
- Three more years of crushing property tax.
- Three more years of unconstitutional public schools.
